WHAT YOU BUY

TrainTime is a one-time purchase through the App Store, Google Play or the Connect IQ Store. The price licenses the app on your device and supports its development. It is not a subscription.

THE ONLINE SERVICE

The app gets its departures from a service I run, which fetches Swiss public transport data from opentransportdata.swiss. I keep it running as best I can, but I cannot guarantee it will always be available, fast or correct. If I ever have to change or shut it down, for example because the upstream data, its limits or its costs change, I will say so in the app and on traintime.ch with reasonable notice where possible. The app and the service are open source, so anyone can run their own.

THE DATA

Timetable, real-time and formation data comes from opentransportdata.swiss, operated by SBB Infrastructure on behalf of the Federal Office of Transport. Station locations come from the dataset Haltestellen des öffentlichen Verkehrs, published by the Federal Office of Transport on opendata.swiss. Neither the platform nor I guarantee it is current, complete or correct. Do not rely on TrainTime alone for a connection you cannot afford to miss.
